good idea buying used springs?

I wouldnt reccomend that cuz depending on the brand (cheap ones or good ones) the have a tendency to sag after the have been on a car for sometime.. and like you said they could have wear on them. Its all up to you though if they are a good brand and look good to you and the person you are gettin from you know and trust... then go for it!

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with buying used springs. Springs are not an item that tends to wear out easily. Cheap springs will sag, however most name brands for this car will not sag. Settling is not sagging. The only "wear" that you can really get on springs in its lifetime will be from bad installation. (Stress risers mainly) Most springs will last for the life of the vehicle.
TRD springs are great springs. They are made by Toyota, and will not cause problems. And with only 6k miles on them, they are barely even getting set in.
I've bought used springs several times, never once had a problem with any of them. If the price is right, there is nothing wrong with buying used springs.

there is nothing wrong with buying used springs. you can buy springs that have 50K miles on them and they'll still work just as good. though quality does have its place so keep that in mind. but really...only way your springs are going to wear out is if take them off the car and bang them around and try to make it a slinky. its some what better used anyways cause their broken in. other than that they'll last well over the cars lifetime.
