Unhappy Caliper slide pin frozen. Please help!

I have a MY2005 w/82K miles. I was changing my rear brake pads yesterday for the first time on my car(done twice previously by the dealership). I completed the passengers side fine however, on the drivers side, the upper caliper slide pin won't budge. I used a lot of force, and an entire can of penetrating spray but it still won't budge. Right now I have to go to work, so I put the old pads back on for the time being. I am hoping maybe some heat cycles from driving plus the penetrating spray that is already on there will help it break loose. Any suggestions? I really don't want to buy a new caliper.

try using a torch and get some heat on it. just be careful that u dont break the pin off inside the bracket. other than that, ur gonna have to get the bracket at least.

try putting it in a vice and using a wrench at an angle with a prybar under the top part of the slide pin to bust it loose

Torch. Or put a set of slip joint pliers around the head of the pin and hit the pliers with a hammer. If you do it this way you won't damage your pin but it may come out. If not, you will have to replace the caliper. Make sure you use plenty of anti-seize when you go back together. I work for a Toyota dealership and put that ____ on almost every bolt I put in. Good luck.
