H-Tech Springs Please help me anyone I need this info!!!!!!!

I just orderd the Tien H-Tech lowering springs for my 05 tc I read some postings and I just want to make sure before I put them on of a couple things:
-Can I leave the stock shocks/struts on?
-How does it ride?
-Later down the line how much will shocks/struts cost if i need to replace the stock set?
How long down the line will I might need to replace the shocks/struts?
I would appreciate any help thanks

Jamin H.

i can only answer the first one for you.
you can leave the stock shocks on, but from what i understand they will wear out faster than the normal. And if im wrong, someone please correct me!

Where did you buy the h techs from?

Rich

H-Tech

Hey Rich,
I got mine at a store called autosport unlimited.

-NEMESIS- 02-01-2006 11:27 PM

ride is fantasic!! Firm but not harsh. i drove mine for 10k and didn't have any trouble with my struts until i hit a pot hole and blew out my right rear shock some how..... If you have the money just do the performance shocks and struts when you change the springs just makes things easy.

H-tech

Hey thanks NEMESIS sounds good do you have any pics of your tc with the H-techs on?

tCrew_R 02-02-2006 03:46 AM

yea some pics would be nice, ive got the trd's and mine somehow ended up much lower than several others, but im considering the h techs so i can eliminate the wheel gap in the front.
thanks for the info. jamcube!

- you can use the stock shocks but they'll wear out faster.
- I have konw idea.
- shocks will be around $450 dependin on where yo get them. Are you doing your own installation? If not, might as well get the shocks as well so that you dont have to pay for laber later on when your stock shocks dies.

H-tech springs

So C2AUTOSPL,
the shocks are around 450 huh, well that is to much for me right now. so you think i should wait to put the springs on till i get shocks and struts also?
Yes I am planning on putting the springs on myself.

-NEMESIS- 02-03-2006 06:04 AM

you can deffinatly put the springs on now. you don't NEED shocks and struts, but i would recommend it in the future since you don't hav ethe money.

jamcube23 02-05-2006 07:07 AM

H-tech

Do I have to get both shocks and struts or can i just get one or the other? Also do you think i can do the install myself with the springs and the shocks?

-NEMESIS- 02-05-2006 03:05 PM

struts are in the front shocks are in the rear and you should change them out as a set when you atr ready.

jamcube23 02-06-2006 05:25 AM

Awsome thanks for the info Rancho, so a set of struts and shocks would cost around $450 and i could combine my new h-tech springs with them? have any suggestions about which set to put with my h-techs?

- yes you can use stock struts. the h.techs wil lwear them out faster than the stock springs will
-the ride stiffer than stock. pretyt smooth still. good all around imo. you shoud get a progress sway bar while your at it. that will make things way smoother.
-konis are 300 a pair right now but probly by the time your shocks wear out, the price will drop to 400 a set or something (koni's are wat i recommend, KYB AGX which will come out are good too and cheaper)

i really want some h techs... altough i wanna see some pics i havent found any good pics where i can actually see the gap difference.
