Unhappy HELP! Squeeky new brake pads?????

Alright so around last week I bought some new front brake pads (oem) from my local auto parts store (NAPA) for 29$, yeah I understand that "you get what you pay for". Well anyway so installed them the other day with no trouble except for they squeel when im slightly pressing on the brakes and yes I did the whole bedding thing and they still squeel after putting 200 miles on them. And thats not the only problem my drivers side squeeks for a while big time even if im not pressing on the brake and ive noticed it does that when im going up an incline or when im taking a curve to my left going 40+ mph. I also noticed that when I am driving and if i jerk the steering wheel to my left I can hear that distinct sqeek sound and also if I just start shifting my weight inside my car I can hear the same exact noise? So what do you all think is causing the noise from my drivers side braking system? BTW I just got done taking the new pads off and put the old ones back in and not a damn noise they make! I need some info fast! What you guys recommend me doing????

I bought NAPA brake pads and it gave me the same exact problem. I did the correct bedd in procedure and still no difference. Then I bought some pads from AutoZone but still had the squeaky noise. I finally gave up and bought some OEM brake pads from the dealer and the squeaking stopped. OEM is the way to go.

here's a quote from one of my posts here https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=192431

i'll just paste what i said. you should try this and lube up the brake pads to stop the squealing. if this doesn't stop the squeal, then sand the pads down a little, or it might just be the wrong pad, that's happened before. Napa's suppliers have been wrong about some cars before, happened to a friend of mine, got the wrong pads.

here ya go.. take a read of this

the brake pad squeak can be fixed by a tsb I found for toyota calipers. here's my translation of what the tsb said and what works for me.

1. take off noise shim, lube back of brake pad (both pads) with brake grease (i like the ceramic solids xtreme brake grease from napa)

2. install noise shim, squeeze shim against pad and remove excess grease that comes out from edges.

3. apply brake grease to ends of pad where it mounts into mounting tabs and install pads.

4. apply brake grease to the inside retaining "fingers" of the caliper. To describe this.. On one side you have the piston and on the other you have two metal "Fingers" that hang down they are part of the body of the housing. They slide right up against the outside brake pad when mounted.

5. Slide caliper over pads, install retaining bolts, torque to 25ft-lbs.

That is what has stopped the squealing for me and others I know. The effects only last about a year, I think the grease just wears off after a year and needs to be reapplied.
