Default just lowered car... weird noises....

Well i just lowered my tc with TRD springs and when i slow down theres like a weird rubbing sound. i took it to toyota and they said they cant find anything. I hit a pot hole and bent my rim pretty bad. Could this be the cause?

give us some more information. when does it happen, for exapmle when your going around a turn or when you hit a bump? describe the sound a little more, is it more of a rubber sqeeking sound or like a metal to metal sound? one thing to look at real quick. pull the cowl off the front end and take the rubber caps off the top of the strut. the bolt thats in the middle. check to see if its tightened all the way. one surefire way to know is if more thread is above the nut to one side. Like if it looks like one of the nuts has more thread above it. that means the strut was not tightened the right way and is 80% of all spring related issues. two other things to check is if the springs are sitting on the perch correctly. the last thing to check is if the rubber dust boot is bunched up and rubbing against the spring!

ok its whenever my cars rolling and im not giving it gas. When i accelerate it goes away thought. It sounds like something rubbing/hitting. Coming only from the front right... the bent wheel.... and i took of the cap and tightened that bolt and still the same issue. Toyota said the springs were sitting fine and everything. Im clueless as to what this can be.

when i got my trd springs taken off the guy told me that is was missing the rubber piece for it and that would cause it to sound like its grinding/scraping a lil but i never heard it when i had those springs maybe thats what happened

Switch that rim to the back. If the noise moves, you found your problem.

If doc's method doesn't work. It is most likely the rubber seat at the bottom and/or the top rubber guide.
