is it possible to do a donut, in a tc (FWD)

is it possible to do a donut, in a tc (FWD) the front tires, burning out and steering at the same time

the_pharaoh88 04-22-2006 11:17 PM

SOMEONE ANSWER ME!!

Mazrim 04-22-2006 11:19 PM

You need to learn some patience dude.

As for a donut, I dont think you could do it with the front wheels spinning. You would probably have to be moving forward, then cut it and lock up the rear wheels (e-brake). Never tried it so I could be wrong.

the_pharaoh88 04-22-2006 11:19 PM

thnx man

Cuthbert 04-22-2006 11:25 PM

Well, I would have to say it wouldn't be the same kind of donut you would get in a rwd car. You probably wouldn't have enough power to really get the car spinning at first, so you would mostly just be slowly going in circles, if the car didn't gain traction that is. This is also bad for your power steering pump, and can burn it out.

The_Instigator 04-22-2006 11:48 PM

You can do them in reverse...I wouldnt know anything about doing that though :lalala:

falcon9094 04-23-2006 12:07 AM

you can do it real easy on wet roads to

MJVsTC 04-23-2006 12:18 AM

If you want to do a donut and burnout, you bought the wrong car.

Spect2K3 04-23-2006 12:23 AM

Take a physics class...donuts in a FWD simply isnt what your looking for...just save your tires and realize that its a car, not a toy...

tCs are FWD? Thanks for telling us. :eyebrow:

It is possible, though not easy at all. It would require lots of room, a running start, prudicious use of the e-brake, and quick steering & throttle inputs. Oh, and bald rear tires would help too.

Shoot video of any attempts so we can critique, point and laugh.

kewlguynick 04-23-2006 03:16 AM

Watched a couple of Preludes trying to do donuts and it was hilarious. With the right momentum u can do one or two, but beyond that you've gotta invest money in a RWD car simply because you are trying to turn and accelerate with your front wheels. Go on youtube and watch some donuts, but beyond that leave it to the crazy folk so you don't hurt yourself.

hayalex6 04-23-2006 03:19 AM

This guy is aking how to do a burnout and a donut..... wow.

Hope your car lasts 10k miles at least.

wait, no I don't. Are you going to ask how to street race next? Or better yet, how to heel-toe shift?

Try joining a ricer street racing (ie idiots) forum.

Hyghgynx 04-23-2006 03:50 AM

Mmmmm....Krispy Kreme!!

I thought this was the most funniest shizah I read all day! Until I read the "burnout" thread! Keep up the 'good' work!
