Questions about sprint springs...

yes I have done some searches but I have a few questions that I can't seem to find.

I just picked up a sent of sprint 8049 for my 06. This site, countless retailers and references state it's a 1.75/1.75 drop all around..

yet here and a few other sites I've seen stating that sprint springs are 2.6-2.8....I'm confused.

or am I just retarded and the 8049 and whatever the large drop spring was are two different static drops...

help!

i think the first production of sprints did a 2.6 all around. but they discontinued it and started making/selling only the 1.75 drop. making the 2.6 pretty rare. ive seen a couple ppl on here once on a blue moon selling/trading them. correct me if im wrong, but i think those first set of production sprints were the lowest springs made for the tc. but since theyre discontinued, lowest for now are the s-techs. 2.4f/2.0r

i used to own 2 sets of the sprints 2.6 f/r which i sold but i forgot the model number of them as it was a good while since i've had them, yes the first sets back in 05/06 where made to be 2.6 front and rear. the drop looked nice but the handling and ride comfort was horrible, around mid 07 i believe they started making them 1.75 front and rear

and how was the ride of the 1.75's?

glad to read this...because I "hoping" the guy who sold them to me was aware of the difference. he labeled the auction as 8049....but you know how ebay is...

i never had the 1.75" springs, i had 2 sets of the 2.6" and the drop looked nice but the ride comfort was horrible as it would bounce alot and i could feel every bump/dip on the road. i probably went through 3 sets of shocks/struts within the 4 years that i have owned my car due to those springs, shocks/struts where free but again the ride was horrible and when people would sit in the back they would hate how much the car bounced.

I have a set of the first production Sprint springs on my tC still to this day (got them in like 11/05). The drop is awesome... but i'm pretty sure my shocks are hurting already lol. I have 19s on the car and i'm able to do a comfortable u-turn with no rubbage at all... but dont try sticking a finger between the fender and tire cuz it aint gonna happen lol. I still dig the drop on it and yes, its a 2+ drop on it.
