Struts: Koni vs TRD vs Tokico

That's just my assumption...I'm sure it's unsubstantiated...but my fronts looks lower then others with hotchkis, slightly, and i haven't seen any other on hotchkis and konis. Havent' seem many konis at all, as a matter of fact.

well my rear TRD shocks are blown from a accident about a month ago. they still ride okay but whenever i go over bumps you can hear that airy sound in the rear suspension. do you think insurance would of covered it since its aftermarket?

I have tokicos and they are great. I am lowered on H&R sport springs which settled lower than advertised. I have maybe 1.5" gap between tire and wheelwell. So its pretty low. Rides very smooth and comfortable compared to many other lowered rides I have been in. I also have alot less body sway and i have stock sway bars and no strut bars. I think that is the best spring strut combo out there for our car!

Plus TRD is overpriced and dont you have to take something off your stock shock and re-use it for the Koni's or put them together or something like that? Tokico Blues are ready to go out of the box!

all i remember reusing were the top hats and bump stops. other than that i just need rear shock replacements and wasnt sure if mismatching shocks would be okay to do. my front TRD shocks are fine along with my htech springs on both ends.

I am a huge fan of Koni. I have had them on previous cars including a Celica and I absolutely loved them. Very adjustable, from nearly stock ride to being so stiff they are barely drivable on the streets. Add a set of sways and you'll be set.
