Tanabe Under Brace..

I've been searching for weeks now. Does anyone know if anyone still has any Tanabe Under Braces lying around?
I remember seeing them online years ago but they're no longer in production.
Kicking myself for not buying them when they were still available. If anyone knows where I can get any, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

I've used the TBperformance under braces. I doubt you'll be able to find anything Tanabe, unless it's used. The TBperformance are pretty basic, but pretty much the only option for our cars.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any links?

I don't have a Link to the Tanabe Performance Brace itself but, I do have a link to Member t2ned_coupe

Thank you! I also found they have military discount. If any veterans would like the code, please message me

Really? Damn I ordered both under braces from them years ago and didn't know that. I'm still active. The braces are pretty good. I had some of the earlier versions which had left over metal from the machining but I fixed that with some hand tools. They look a lot better now. Made my chassis pretty stiff so keep that in mind. As for the Tanabe version, I believe those were prototypes that never came into production for the first gen tC because I too was wanted to get one but they never developed.

What I saw was they end up just making them for the 2nd gen because it was already late in the cycle for the first gen to really have a commitment on new parts from a marketing standpoint. The demand just wasn't high for them at the time.

AFIAK they never made it beyond the prototype for the tC2 either. Tanabe just likes to tease us with pretty braces.

@xdejablu3x A few years ago I saw quite a few Tanabe braces on eBay for the 1G tC. I had contemplated buying them all at the time but failed to do so. Unfortunately. There was a 4 point front under brace, four point mid chassis brace, rear under brace, floor brace (went behind front seats),
a C pillar brace and fender braces. They were all red but expensive at the time. Over $250 each at the time. Wish I got them. :icon_frown: They weren't up for too long. Would've been great rare pieces to have. The TBP ones look good though. I'm gonna purchase them all and have them powder coated.

By the way, there is one issue I still have with the TB Performance under braces. They never provided torque specs for the hardware. I found the torque specs of the stock measurements for the rear under brace but never for the front. I emailed them years ago but they never responded. Hopefully you have better luck than I do.

@xdejablu3x
In case you still need them or for anyone else that may need them:

Torque specs:

Front: 80ftlbs
Mid, rear and tie bar: hand tighten or 20ftlbs

Hope that helps

I appreciate that. You have a source by any chance like a technical manual or something? I could never find a source from anywhere.
