tC handling sucks!

OK! I hate how my tC's turning radius is longer than my other cars my 03rolla and my AE92 sedan with coilovers and strut bars and 15"s.

How come its so damn hard to park on a regular space considering it being short???
is there a mod to fix this?

sddykstr 04-24-2007 05:09 AM

Driving class? Nah, are you asking about why it the turning radius sucks or how to make it handle better, I'm a bit confused here.

ExEr101 04-24-2007 05:21 AM

What?

ummm learning how to park... do you want like a camera in the back or just angle your mirrors downward a little bit more to help ya park.. not that hard.

SquallLHeart 04-24-2007 05:35 AM

.... i vouch for driving class as well.

you think our turning radius is bad? goodness.. you need to drive other cars.

forpinks 04-24-2007 05:36 AM

I drive 2 Corollas, and I know how a car handles! but my tC has a weird turning radius...
I need a good handling suspension, like my Corollas...

Have you guys been driving Crown-Vics before you got a tC??? I see why you like how it handles!

please anyone here that used to have or has a Corolla please, I need feedback!

I agree with that.

SquallLHeart 04-24-2007 05:58 AM

handling and turning radius have very little correlation to each other.

if you want to get a better turning radius, buy another car. i don't think anyone has had any issues parking.. and there's no mod to fix something that's not broken.

you won't get any other feedback besides what has been stated.

2fast4you 04-24-2007 06:50 AM

forpinks, the average Formula One car can't pull into a garage without a 3-point turn, and they seem to do pretty well in the handling department. If you want a tighter turning radius, Mercedes USA is taking pre-orders for the Smart:

SquallLHeart 04-24-2007 07:07 AM

hey.. i love that little car.

Ty_Max 04-24-2007 07:17 AM

I get what he is saying though...my friend makes U-turns in trucks that my car can't make for some reason :P...maybe its cause hes not scared to run over the curb when my bumper would just blow up.

ExEr101 04-24-2007 07:28 AM

I have no problems making u-turns on the roads by me and, if i get lazy ...e brake.

95th_SFS 04-24-2007 07:59 AM

I think my tC had a better turning radius than my evo now. I must admit the tC did not turn as sharply but its all about learning your car.

bcnu_702 04-24-2007 08:14 AM

I had an 03 corolla and now a tC, but I never really noticed the turning radius on it. It will take some getting used to though cause they are different.

MJVsTC 04-24-2007 11:06 AM

I think that there is a driver-interface error at the steering wheel.

rvpps2rocks 04-24-2007 03:52 PM

Well...maybe if u payed your parking tickets you could get that donut off and be able to turn....lol jk just make a wider turn or try taking the car out to a parking lot and practice parking..not every car is going to have a tight turning radius...the toyota x-runner has a tighter turning radius than the tc i think..if not then for a truck it has a tight turning radius

Dr_Isotope 04-24-2007 04:54 PM

1990 Corolla turning circle, 32.2'; wheelbase 94.4"
2003 Corolla turning circle, 35.2'; wheelbase 102"
2007 Scion tC turning circle, 36.1'; wheelbase 106.3"

It's simple enough math, just not simple enough for idiots.

And before I forget, rvpps2rocks The std. cab Tacoma has a 37' turning circle, and the extended cab is 42'.

dskinner 04-24-2007 04:58 PM

^^^ Yes! It all comes down to the wheelbase. The tC offers tons of room inside (for its class) and a nice ride due to the long wb, but when it comes to the turning radius, it will suffer a little bit. That's OK in America though, we love trucks, and we have the parking spots to prove it.
