Default Trying to diagnose pothole damage

My wife drives my tc through the massive detroit potholes. 18" wheels wrapped in 40 series coupled with stock suspension = big problems. I'm pretty sure my strut is blown because it's oily. It also smells like grease around the wheel well. When i hit a bump on the expressway there's sort of a 'vibration' that goes away quickly. It can be felt mainly through the steering wheel. Anyway, I'm hopeful that this sounds like a bad strut. If anyone has any thoughts I'd love to hear them. Especially whether my diagnosis sounds appropriate, and any recommendations on where I might find a new strut.

could have damaged the control arms or hurt the sway bar.

The control arm looks straight, as does the sway bar. Think it could be a ball joint or bushing? Since you mention the arm and bar, do the symptoms sound like more than just a strut to you?

Check your CV boots too if you smell grease, there may be a chance they got damaged.
