Hey guys i've been searching around and using the search button but cant seem to find a post about changing pads WITH PICTURES... Anyone know a link where i can see a better view of changing the pads. i wanna see front and rear changed. My brakes are starting to squeak.
Remove wheels
Remove bottom bolt from caliper and swing it up off the pads
Remove old pads
Use an old pad and a c-clamp to comress the pistons on the caliper. You can also place the two old pads stacked on the piston and use the handle of a ratchet, through the hole in the caliper to pry it back slowly.
Install new pads (place the metal clips from the old ones on them and install the way they came off)
Swing caliper back down and replace bolt
Install wheels and set car on ground
Pump brakes a few times before driving to compress pistons
Takes about 30 minutes including jacking up the car and putting it on stands. One of the easiest things to do on the car besides rotating tires
If you have not added any fluid before now, dont. The level should be perfect again after you are through and you will not spill any fluid. You also do not need to bleed brakes when you change pads.

Just don't forget to break-in your new pads by braking soft a couple of times and pretty hard a couple of times, or else it'll just feel like you got screwed over at first.

Yeah numerous links told me to remove the top bolt. Which bolt is it? And how do u change the rear. every tech is only saying the front pad change.
both front and rear calipers have a top and bottom bolt, you only need to take one off and the caliper will swing up or down (depending on which u take off) and the pads will be able to be removed and replaced.
