A little help w tires
Hi everyone,
I dont post much. but its about time to get my tc some new tires. I have looked through various threads and did not really get the answer i was looking for. I have a 07 tc lowered on s techs with stock wheels, im curious as to what other people had success with, running s techs. Im looking for a tire that will last as long as possible with the best grip. not really worried about wet traction....
thanks

I'm currently in the market for new tires myself, for my 05 tC.
The only advice I can give you is to check out tirerack.com, do all your research there, compare tires. Pay attention to the UTQG number. This number gives you valuable info. The higher the number the better.
The UTQG number basically represents, the tread life, or hardness/durability of the rubber. When you see the number like 400 AA A, the letters stand for something as well, but at the moment I can't remember what.
I currently have the Goodyear Eagle GT's, which have carbon fiber side walls, and were really good tires for me.
Hope that helps.

Performance, Durability, Cost. Pick 2.
Since you seem to be concerned with performance and durability, you will pay. Hands down Michelin's are the best tires you can buy, but they are expensive.
I have Nitto Neogens now, relatively cheap tires with decent performance as far as I can tell. But these tires wear fast due to the softness of the rubber. Up to you and what you want.

i have continental DWS tires...I am totally in love with them so far and have been riding on them for about 5k miles...quiet, great wet and dry traction and they have a 50k mile warranty. cheaper than the pirellis i had on before but i wore through those in like 17k miles. im on stechs as well. i would def check out the DWS for sure!!
