My Rim/Tire Choice, along with winter tires (PICS ADDED!)

Ok so what i've decided is on this:

17x7.5 Konig Feathers in gold

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/pr...nfea.g.ang.jpg

wrapped in 225/45/17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/pr...mtahzh.ang.jpg

and Hankook Winter iPike W409 for the stock wheels (the reviews on the tires seem pretty good (plus the tread design is pretty agressive kinda like the BFG's which i like)

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/pr...hanst1.ang.jpg

what do you guys think, they will be goin on my 06 FM tC and for suspension im upgrading to H&R Coilovers with the H&R rear sway bar. all happening in t-minus 2 weeks :)

the feathers only weigh 17.8 lbs too :) iirc thats lighter then stock and a little wider plus they look better :)

good tire choices.

For dry conditions(spring/Summer) I went with BFG G-force sports(Z-rated). about $120 for a 225/45/17 vs. $144 for the same tire size BFG TA NT(your tire choice)

For wet/cold/possible icy conditions(fall/winter) I went with Hankook Icebear W300
The Icebear W300's were recommended to me by a discount-tire direct salesman as being the most up-to-date/advanced winter tire available... and hands down the best performing overall(bad conditions and/or decent conditions since they are H-rated tires , and the I-pike + Michelen X-ice(Q-rated?? I believe) tend to become very "spongy" when conditions outside are not so terrible(ie. between 45-55 degrees , and plesent outside... just a bit cool/crisp).

I take it, you live where there is bad/poor weather for 6-8+ months of the year ??

davedavetC 10-24-2007 03:23 AM

i looked at the Icebears too... idk its just somethin about the tread design on the Winter iPikes that caught my eye, htis tire got great reviews also.

davedavetC 10-24-2007 03:24 AM

p.s. i didnt order yet so chime in with tire rec. dont tell me to get diff rims cus these are wack or somethin like that i <3 these wheels and will def be getting these but tires im still open too
