Default Quest for 16s...........

Ok, so after a good week of work I am finally going to get my wheels and tires. I am getting 16s because these will be my track/summer wheels/tires and I don't care about looks since she is a strip car only. I will be ordering my wheels Monday since I will be out of town all week. So, here is my question:

What would be better to get for traction.......

16x8 5x100 48

16x7 5x100 45

Also, what size tires would I get. I am looking at 205/45/16 or 215/45/16, but can I go wider without any problems.

I don't want any comments on how they will look bad and this and that......

I am just going to start a thread on 16s since I know not many tCs are running them.

16X8 is a good idea.... the only problem is, the tire selection for 16" wheels are not so great.

Thanks guys.......

245/45/16 it is.........

I will get something smaller for the rears since they don't matter and also the wheels will be sent to be powder coated as soon as they come in.

Color will be.............

Well, you will have to wait and see.......

if it's going to be a full out drag car, run some skinnies... like... 3-4" wide and put a 145 width or something stupid like that on there.

Its my daily driver. But, I can trailer it up to the track on track days and take off the wheels after track day.
