Question Scion tC offset question

Hello, I am in the market for new wheels for my 08 tc. I contacted someone selling a set of wheels, who said he was selling them because they did not fit onto his scion tc (his daily). I asked why they didnt fit, and he claimed that the offset was too low. He explained to me that a tC needed to have wheels with +35 offset and up! I did not know, and i am unsure of this. I am scared to look for wheels now thinking i will buy wide wheels with low offset, and having to buy spacers to fit them, and not staying flush without -500000 camber. So is there a minimum offset that you can have on a set of wheels? thanks!

Also if anyone wants to trade their 18x8.5+ wheels or 17x8.5+ with tires for a fully custom bmx bike let me know haha.

Haha i dont know who told you any wheel with a 20 offset will fit fine with minimal camber. It all goes hand in hand with width. 18x8 +20, will be just fine and sunk in my opinion. But 18x10 +20 will not. If anything on an 18x9.5 you cant go higher than 35 due to the inner barrel hitting your strut.

Where did he say anything about a 10"? He'll be fine with 8.5's.

You should post an example pic of a tC that has the exact look/fitment you're going for. People's opinions of what "doesn't fit" or what offset is "too low" varies. We can tell you what specs you should look for based on the photo you post.

That's jermeydoc tc just search for his build thread. You will find what you are looking for. And why he did to achieve what you want to achieve for your car.
