Scraping sound coming from rear driver side wheel?

I have a scraping sound coming from my rear driver side wheel. I usually hear it when I start driving with cold engine (not as in its cold outside and its cold but as in first turning the engine on). After a few minutes of driving it goes away or at least I cant notice it. Sounds like something is scraping against my roder. Sounds like a metallic scraping sound such as a table saw but obviously not as loud and rough. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

you need new brake pads.

they come with a warning strip of metal that scraps against the rotor to make you aware that you need new pads.

either new rotors or resurfacing is also recommended.

Agreed these would be the first items to check.

Thanks I'll check it out, it even makes this sound when you're not braking? Cus I usually hear the sound when accelerating.
