Default scuffed my stock RIMS!!!!!

Im pretty sure this isnt the first post about scuffed rims here but im in too much of rush and shock to look around 5-10 pages for it.

it seems like a fairly good scuff. i was in the school zone so its got yellow paint all around the lip of the rim. i have serveral choices for now:
-wipe/sand/buffer
-wipe/filling/paint
-take it to a shop
the stock rims seem little bit darker toned then regular titanium rims. im in class right now so i cant show a image but ill post it once i get home.

definitely try to repair the scuffs yourself first. you may not totally return the rims
to new but you may be able to reduce the cost of professional restoration if you're
able to bring them back some.

A lot more than what it would be worth. You'd be better off purchasing a used stock wheel off someone. If it's not that bad, try sanding it down to smooth it a bit.

its a stock rim, who cares. now if u had wheels like tina, thats a whole different story. Just paint the stock wheels, sand it primer it, paint. and voila!

^If I only had my car for 3 days and scuffed my wheel I'd be a little upset too. I went 3 years without scratching mine and when I did I was quite ticked.

1 wheel on my car has been curbed.....twice. Once happened on the way to SEMA when I got pulled over & turned onto a side street when it was 3am & pitch black out & the douchebagel cops were highbeaming me with all 4 lights & I couldn't see worth a damn. You can't even tell. I cried like a little sissy though. Another time happened when I drove into a nasty **** pothole by my friends shop & my car shifted slightly & nicked the sidewalk. That's barely noticeable either. Neither times did it go all the way through the chrome, needless to say, I got lucky.

thanks all for great tips and alternative ideas.
yea so i got a better look of it after class. it wasnt a big scuff....except for the little 5mm chip on it. doh! and about 1~2mm scratchws around. its actually barely noticeable even in close range. except for the yellow paint.
i think i might just leave it as is for now. And since its aluminum, no rust.

@Kiss Kiss Kill: it seems like luck never comes to me. but gosh twice on same rim. your really tryin to tear the metal rnt u.

Haha, I know, that's the unlucky rim. There were imperfections in the chroming from day 1, too. I was incredibly ____ed the first time I curbed it....I was more ____ed about the curbing than the ticket itself, haha. But just the lip on my wheel alone is $400. =/

Now is a good time to get some xp at sanding and if it's really bad you have a reason to paint them

^Thanks, no I don't mind.

It's barely even noticeable so I left them. You can seriously find a single stock rim for $50-$75.

p.s. lol, it was weird scrolling on this post. I'm still not used to Descendant having my car on their banner, haha (http://m1.2mdn.net/viewad/2206885/Wo...0v3_082409.jpg)

note: youll prob have to repaint all 4 wheels because i doubt youll find the OEM color.
