Hey I was curious if anybody knew how much the stock rim weighed because I when I upgrade I want something lighter and that looks better. Thanks

 

I was talking to Raamaudio about rims and he says the stockers are around 19lbs...which is pretty good.

 

Thanks finally someone answers me! I've been trying to find this out for a long time. wow 19lb is lightweight so not much to upgrade from here unless I go with 16s which I wont. Thanks man

When I had a set of stock wheels and tires shipped to me the weight for 2 wheels with tires was 82lbs. The tires had 15k miles of rubber off of them so I duno what that weight is. So thats 41lbs per wheel and tire, I think. But I will weigh them when I get the new tires mounted up.

Even with both, I still doubt each one weighs 41 lbs... theyre aluminum first off, and how much do these low profiles weigh... def. not in the 20lb range

So yeah tire and wheel about 41 lbs

 

oh and this is with 100% tread I only had maybe 400 miles on the car when I installed them

 

Stock wheels are 17x7", 5x100 PCD, +45mm offset and 22 lbs.

The Potenzas on the first tCs are 215/45R17 and weigh 23lbs.

Total combined weight is 45lbs.

 

not to dispute it, but if you look at my postabove, I have them sitting on a scale. They are about 41 lbs

 

No two scales are the same. Was your scale properly calibrated before you took your measurement? What's the percentage of error on it? And I'm guessing it's a bathroom scale, which is designed for measuring body weight. I didn't weigh them myself, I'm going off what the respective manufacturers have said they weigh.

 

Oh boy here we go again. Even with soild truth sitting on the computer screen. People still have to dispute it. I guess it's the scionlife way

 

Man, I forgot to call in the nuclear physisit to properly calibrate my bathroom scale. Plus it was kinda windy in my bath room so it may have been exerting a force on the tire causing it to way more.

Plus the dealer might have used a special air to make the tire lighter.

Man I probably wont weigh myself anymore, i dont want to be fooled about what my true weight is on my non precise bathroom scale.

ohh and the manufaturers info is always 100 percent correct. I forgot about that. No one is ever off on weight, HP or anything.
