Default Tire pressure light..

Hello everyone,

I have read quite a bit about this particular problem on this site and others to no avail. The problem is the pressure light refuses to go out after multiple resets of the switch in the glove box and making sure the pressure is correct.

I've not changed anything! The tires have been on for 2 years and the wheels are stock. The only thing I've read that may be tripping me up is that it has to be driven for an hour after the switch reset. Is that a consecutive drive or accumulative?
Also, the temps in my area drastically change this time of year which I assume could cause issues, but I have been monitoring the pressure for a few weeks and they stay steady.

This is a 2008 Scion tC with 60k miles on it. The tC is driven roughly three times a week if that matters.

Thanks

Maybe you need to do a Reset:
1-Turn ignition ON. If the pressure light comes on, press the Reset button (in glove box)and release it.
2-Press and hold the tire pressure reset button until the low warning light blinks three times.
3-You might have to drive for a bit for the complete reset, I've done this a few times but in my case I didn't have to drive at all.

Hope that helps!!!

It's quite possible that one or more of the sensors could have a dead battery in them. Easy way to check is to take it by a tire store and see if they can read all four sensors.

That's what it turned out to be. Two of the sensors had super low batteries, one was a bit better and the fourth was completely dead

Thanks guys
