Default tire sizes

Its time for new tires and I want to change from FK-452's to something else since Ive heard horrible stories of bubbling with these tires and a stretch. My rims are 18x10 and right now my falkens are 225/35. I wanted to go with the Hankook V12's but those only come in 225/40. Is there anyone running a 225/40 on some 10's? If not can you recommend a better tire to stretch. I need to order these as soon as possible. Thanks for the help!

Check out some General Tires for stretching. They are also pretty cheap and tend to run a little wider than other tires in the same size. So I think the 225's would be a good stretch on a 10" wheel.

I had General UHP tires on my wheels before and they good for the money. Ran a 215/40 on a 9" wheel and they was barely a stretch (wheel lip wasn't even sticking out beyond the tire).

Yeah I'm running 225 right now and love the stretch on them; just have heard too many horror stories of the falken 452's I'll check out the generals thanks!

federal ss595 are an amazing stretch, but run wide. a 225/40 would be more like a 235/40.

falken 512 are also an amazing stretch, but run small. a 225/40 is more like a 215/40.

I run the 512 225/45 on a 17x10 and love the stretch. these tires were made for stretching.

where do you buy your 512's?
I know they are discontinued and can't find them anywhere

Falken has 912's which is the same I'm running 215/40 on a 10 wide. Love the stretch on it. Going to go soon to a 215/35 but with Yokohama tires since the stretch is pretty much the same.

I run 235's on my 17x8's, But I hear that the generals stretch well. Try the gmax as-03, awesome grip in wet/dry.

I bought my 512s at discount tire direct. They were the last set in.

The 912s are much wider tire than the 512s. Yokohamas also run wide.
