Default TPMS Sensors

I am purchasing new wheels and tires. I wanted to know if it is mandatory or important to get the TPMS sensors in the tires? I know that my stocks have them in but I don't know if I need them for aftermarket wheels? If someone could let me know that would be awesome.

Nah. I mean you'll have the dash light lit but you wont affect anything. I didn't put mine in my summer wheels/tires and just ignored the light. Just check tires periodically and I have a gauge somewhere in my car to check tires if they look low or goin for a long ride.

Thanks man i appreciate it, I don't really care for the light that much. I just wanted to make sure it will still let me drive without hearing some annoying ringing or warning alarm going off.

I thought i remembered your Tc. I was in the Super white one with tinted tail lights. I don't really care about the light so much. I was more worried about sensors beeping and stuff.

Just a tip: that light is very useful. I went on a road trip when I was running 19" Tenzos and the tC was loaded HEAVILY. (3 people and every square inch of the car packed with stuf AND 2 mountain bikes on the roof) I saw the light on the dash come on while on the freeway, I immediately pulled off to the shoulder, and by the time I got out of my car, both of the rear tires were almost completely flat. I had extreme camber going on because of the excess of weight and didn't realize that I tore the inside of my rears to pieces. Had I not seen the light come on and reacted immediately, I would have destroyed my nice shiny 19" rims. They were still in perfect condition. THANK YOU TPMS LIGHT!
