Wheel selection...need some opinions

Alright folks...the time to put new shoes on my baby is near! Here is a pic of one of my selections, for my FM tC. What do you guys/gals think? I'm thinking 18x8.5 but might got up to 19. Requested info on the offset as it looks like it's got a pretty big lip.

I love those wheels - they look awesome.

Yeah, I'm seriously torn...not sure which I like best, the five star from above, or the mesh here

and then the six spoke design here....

Decisions, decisions...all of these would be in hyperblack... I may have to have a raffle or something to decide. :relief:

XBNV 04-13-2006 10:51 PM

I think the first one is the best.

Hey those look good, how about a full car pic/profile? Thanks!

Reese 04-17-2006 10:21 PM

go with the first ones or the 6 spoke loving the lip on them

phederico 04-19-2006 06:08 AM

Hey Reese, thanks for the input....I'm still leaning towards that wheel myself. So I clicked your profile there, and see you have some Axis Hiro's on your ride. I was contemplating those wheels myself, and must say...DAYUUUM Lookin' good.

^^ Thanks :P and yeah you dont want the Hiro's, ...mine mine :silly: hahaha
anyways the more I look at the 3 your did decide on I really like the 6 spoke one. I like it better cause of the closed spoke look. Best of luck with your decision.

Six spoke looks awesome from the picture but what size is it. Most pictures show like 10" rim with the deep lip.

phederico 04-19-2006 04:20 PM

I have absolutely no idea what size is in the picture itself....

HRE knockoffs? Personally I think they look nicer on luxury vehicles because they are pretty heavy.

phederico 04-19-2006 08:03 PM

HOUSTON....WE HAVE A PROBLEM.... Looks like the Ruff Racing series makes a 5x100, but the offset may not clear my caliper and possibly peg the strut. Soooooo I had to abandon the Ruff Series wheels, and went to my second option since Reese is being stingy with her Axis Hiro's. (heheh...j/k ya Reese). So let me introduce you to plan B:

So, what's eveyrone's take here? 18x8.5 +35 offset, in Hyperblack as shown...

Reese 04-19-2006 08:55 PM

yeah BACK OFF! :gun: Hiro's are MINE! jk but no really, lol

Ummm and which ones did u think wouldnt have enough clearance? the 6 spoke ones? hmmm Im not sure how those other ones will look. I mean it just depends on what YOU like I guess. Im sure they will look good but there is more out there to chose from.

What about something like this? Kinda looks like the theme your going for....

Those are nice, but what I am really going for is the "deep dish" look, with the nice chrome lip on it....if you'll notice the wheel's I've picked (before I got slammed on my previous selection) have a nice looking lip on 'em. Honestly, I'd like a decent 5 spoke start wheel.....in a gunmetal/hyperblack with a polished lip. Doesn't have to be as big as I was talking about. Like these for example...I think these are nice...

They aren't a five star, but nothing else has caught my eye really. Except the Axis Hiro's...and well...YOU KNOWWWWW. :lalala:

I am looking for the same

I am looking for the same deep dish look. I am glad that I saw this before I ordered Ruff Racing I was going to order the same wheels from them. I have also found other choices that I have been shut down on. If I knew how to post pictures I would show them to you. They are the BSA 356 Paragon which look almost identical to the Axis Decades only in 17's I can't find them anywhere except for over seas, then there's the BSA 333 which are a 6 spoke deep dish but according to wheel max they don't fit the tC, then comes the BSA 341 Warrior that I found on Ebay but I can't find them in anything but silver and black. They only have black on Ebay. I am looking for a thicker 6-10 spoke wheel in Hyper Black. But I want it to roll and not have any 90 degree turns in it and of course have a nice sized lip. Any help would be appreciated. The only ones I found that had a nice lip and Hyper Black Finish of course where the Ruff Racing 279. :x

posjetta96 04-21-2006 06:32 PM

BSA

I found these on Ebay I am trying to see if the guy has these in a 5x100 lug pattern 17x7 they are a +40 offset with a 3 inch lip but let me guess I am going to have fitment problems right? These are the wheels I really want I hope i get some good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
