Default 2013 TC...crease above fuel door?

Hey folks.

Bought a "new" 2013 Scion TC recently and just noticed a vertical crease above the fuel door. On the opposite side of the car this is where the antenna mounts and there is no crease.

Is this just how these cars are? Unless I can confirm this is normal ill be heading back to the dealership tomorrow.

I'll have a look at mine when I getvhime in about 20 minutes. Don't remember seeing that though. Looksblikeba defect. Don't know how the dealer wouldn't catch that. Or quality control even.

No definitely no crease in that spot should look the same as the antenna side, minus the antenna.

Thanks for the replies. Just compared it to another 2013 same color.

did you buy it as new? if not then they'll probably quote you on repairs.

2013 model but yes was new. Never registered/sold.

Not going to let it ruin my purchase if they won't do much on it. Would rather have them sell me a TRD exhaust at cost than fix it really.

Or let me trade up for a reduced price FR S (dreaming).

Going to dealership. Will let you all know how they handle it, good or bad.

Cool. Dealership is going to make it right and fix it for free.

Awesome!

I recommend the TRD exhaust. I found one used at a great price and am really happy with it. Look around, the exhaust tone is great for this car. not raspy or ricery imo. It also does not look like a fart can.

1.5 weeks later I got my car back. Dealer fixed it 100% for free and I drove their loaner the whole time. Good experience with Charles Maund Scion in Austin!

Looks good as new. Loaded Toyota Camry for loaner. Kind of hated to give it back

That's cool, I actually wanted to see what it would be like to drive a newer camry. Because when I had them replace my faulty sunroof frame (took them 6 days haha) they gave me a corolla S. Couldn't wait to get back my tC because the corolla was auto; i only got 1mpg better mileage from it than the tC; and it was noticeably weaker and no fun to drive
If the camry you had was a V6, i bet you had fun :D

Only thing i didn't like about the Camry was the steering. Very loose and vague
