Default Addind Fog lights?

I'd like to add fog lights to my son's 2013 tC and found these.

I know they're not OEM but wonderin if anyone installed these and if it's worth not paying for the OEM foglights?

I think those are OEM ones. TRD sparks is supposed to be pretty good about that stuff.

I don't think those are OEM per se, but they look and operate exactly like it. I think the switch may look slightly different. I believe those are the ones I installed on mine and I haven't had any problems. I've had them for almost 2 years.

Just bought my pair today. Heard it's an easy 30 minute install since it's all plug and play.

Did you buy the set linked above from TRDSPARKS?

Saw the install instructions from TRD SPARKS for these. Holy Cow! Is the install really that complicated?

Also my son would rather have yellow in the fogs or "Angel Eyes." Is there a retrofit to use these types of bulbs or do I have to look at a completely different set of Foglight/housing?

Does anyone know if I can just swap out the bulbs in the TRD SPARKS fogs for yellow? If so any links where I can get the bulbs?

Installed my trdsparks fog lights and they were pretty easy. They're literally plug and play. I'm going to get 3k HID for my fogs. I purchased yellow fog light covers for now.

Couple questions for ya:

1) Did you follow the instructions from TRDSPARKS for install? It looks a little complicated?

2) Are you able to use that kit where the fogs come on with the parking lights?

3) Where are you getting he 3K HIDs from?

TRD SPARKS says OEM Style so I believe they are a knock-off and not true OEM.

If that's the case found these on ebay and sound the same but almost half the price?

Yeah, they aren't OEM, but just like the description, they function just like them. $75 bucks for a clean set-up, yeah, worth it, and yes, throw in some HID's for extra brightness. I love 3K fog lights.

I got my 3K HID's from the retro fit source. Bought the Morimoto's. Cost about 158.90 I think. They only turn on when headlights are on. I did follow the instructions. Extremely easy to install. Don't let the instructions scare you.

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

One last question. Can I get the TRDsparks kit to turn on with the parking lights?

You can, but you'll have to figure that out yourself.

You'd have to splice the wire that sends the signal(power) to turn the parking lights on to the kit.

Personally I like having the dogs set up to their own fuse to have just them on and nothing else if I want.

This kit is OEM style, so its basically OEM but third party made basically. If you want it to be yellow and make it less complicated than getting 3000k hid's, just get 3000k bulbs (i got nokya's from amazon). They work great. The install for the fogs is easy, a bit frustrating if its ur first time doing something like that but its fairly easy with instruction.

And for turning on with parking lights, here's the DIY for independent fogs https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=202057

Zero;

Does the default TRD Sparks kit operate the fogs independently with it's own switch in the cabin? If not how do they operate?
