So I just noticed that my b-pillar is dented on my driverside
I have no idea how it happened...the only thing recent was taking it to the tint shop to get it retintrd...but I have no evidence it didn't happen before and I don't want to blame them, especially if I don't know for sure.
I will try to post a picture later, but has anyone had this issue? And maybe if it's cheap/easy to replace.
EDIT: it is the b-pillar...my bad
my girlfriend first spotted the dent to me on the door and didn't have enough time to really look at it and for some reason was thinking the b-pillar was on the body not the door...
so yea, i know something like the CF b-pillar just goes over it right?
well its dented at the corner/edge...where it starts to round
if i were to get the CF b-pillar (or something similar since i like the tC part of the CF b-pillar...but dont really want the CF look) and it goes over...will it also cover up that dent at the edge? or would i have to do a complete replace of it
EDIT:

From what I understand if you buy the Toyota CF B-Pillar, it replaces your current one.
There are two access points on the inside of the door which will let you remove the current one to replace it. I'll take a pic and post later to show you what I'm talking about.
Either way, you should be able to get both stock and CF from Toyota.

is there any other place that would sell it sock?
(or personally...i'd love a non-CF pillar that says tC like the CF pillar...ideas?)

YIKES!!! OK I was wrong about the CF B-Pillar installation... they do stick on. Here are the instructions from TRDSparks: http://trdsparks.com/install/PT10A-21111inst.pdf
Here's the picture:

From looking at the B-Pillar from the top, I did notice adhesive tape. I doubt the stock ones JUST stick on and I think those points give you access to remove them.
I'm sure if you contact a Toyota dealership/parts department, they should be able to order the part for you. I had to replace the left side bumper panel plate on my TC2 and they were able to get it within a day or two.
Hope this helps!

I see, thanks for the pic (I'm at work and can't see my car right now). I will definitely talk to my dealership guy and see what he knows and report back.
That's also what I thought about the CF one...but if I get the CF one and stick it over...do you think it will cover up that dent?

I would assume so being that it fits over the B-Pillar. For me the question would be if the dent gets in the way of a proper installation.

I was thinking that the CF b-pillar would go more on the face...where the dent is more on the edge (or depth part I suppose)
ex. if looking at an "L" shape and the bottom of the L is the face and the side of the L is the edge...which leads to the glass
the dent looks more like its at the corner, so the way that the CF pillar sticks on...is more on the bottom of the L or does it wrap more to cover the corner and maybe the edge (side of the L) also?
I have the CF B-Pillar and it just sticks over top of the current one and no it does not wrap around the sides so it wouldnt cover it per se......but it would do a good job of distracting the eyes away from it

update!
i (finally) just picked up the part! ill post photos later or something.
my friend also got me some clips to go with it, they are the same clips that r2dnel pointed out..so remove looks like that plus an adhesive on the pillar
im thinking of (fianlly) starting a build thread and then a DIY for B-Pillar replacement tomorrow
