alright... sorry... geez... i saw the white tC couple posts up with the PTuning relocate bracket...

if you use it, the size of the bracket is smaller than the tow hook cover hole... so it creates a gap...

Awesome! I tried this, however when i removed my license plate, it appears my dealer in MA decided to drill 4 holes into my bumper =(.

Thanks for the write-up though!

I'm one of those guys that doesn't like the look of the front plate, but I live in a state where the front plate is mandatory. I went three plus years with my Mini Cooper S with no plate. In the area where I live, it was never an issue. However, certain cities have trained their parking brigades to look for missing front plates, which is a quick extra $50 ticket on the westside of L.A. I finally gave up and drilled into the bumper getting tired of paying the fees.

With my tC, I am going to try something different. First, I try not to park on the street in cities where I know this is a problem, using a pay lot instead. Second, I am going to attach the front plate onto the lower grille using tie wraps, just for the journey, then remove the plate when I am back in my own hood. A bag of tie wraps is only a couple of bucks and install/deinstall is painless.

SoCal owners be prepared when in Beverly Hills, Westwood, Venice, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica and Brentwood - no front plate = ticket if you are parked on the street.
