DRLs
^Hmmmm...I'll need more pics to make up my mind...right now they seem a little out of place. Obviously it's all subjective, but I think those strips would look pretty sweet at the top of each fog-light insert. Merc style.
I looked at that and didn't really care for the way they sat, but I'll post pics of them in the fogs if I get home early enough. I pulled the lights out last night when I couldn't find a good power source. 1stOne gave me some places to check, so I'll let you know when I find something.
Hurray!!! I found my power source!
Took me all night to find it, so I didn't get the lights installed, but I found it! Middle wire (gray) on the mass airflow sensor has what I need.
I also didn't get pictures of the lights mounted on the fog light area because they just don't fit right. There's enough of a curve, the lights don't sit right. The more I look at the original pictures though, the more I like the lights in the grille.
I'll post more pics when I get everything installed and squared away

I tacked the lights up in a couple places I considered. Obviously ignore the wires...

Last one is the one I decided to go with. In the fog light areas, the lights were facing too far to the side and in the lower grille, they just looked cheap. It was dark before I got everything done, so updated pictures will have to wait until tomorrow.

Perfectly legal since they're white and if you end up installing DRLs on your car, you can certainly put them in the fog light area. Concept is the same, no matter where you mount them. Let me know if you have any questions about it.
I actually like them in the lower grille... especially if you could cut-out that bar acroos the grille you tacked them to, and recess them into it.
Regardless, post those pics!! And a fully complete wiring diagram!
Using the MAF sensor won't turn them off when your headlights come on... or do you have some other wiring or a switch that you haven't told us about?

Well, I've decided I really like them where they're at, in the upper grille.
I agree that if I cut out part of the grille and recessed the lights, they'd look good in the lower grille, but I hate cutting on the car (it's just so permanent), and I'm still not totally sold on where I have my front license plate, so I don't want to put the lights somewhere one might get covered.
And I will, reluctantly, post pictures of how I wired in the lights. I'm kind of embarrassed as the wiring is sloppy. And, no, the DRLs don't turn off when the lights turn on. I like the way the DRLs look with the HIDs, so they stay on anytime the car is on.

Ok I heard thru the grapevine that if you replace the DIM/DRL relay in the engine fuse box with the DRL relay from Canada that you will have DRL just like the Canada models do. Is there anyone that can actually confirm this? I have thought about adding other lights for DRL's, but would just as soon do the factory set up if at all possible.
Thanks!
Happy Friday!
