Default Rain Guards?

Hey all,

Anyone find any rain guards for our car yet?

I know weathertech hasn't released anything yet. I'm trying to find some that don't stick out TOO far.

lemme know what u guys have come across!

Thanks!
Varun.

I'm waiting for the same product, Varun. I posted something a month or so ago but no response. I asked someone at Pep-Boys and AutoZone and they said they'll be out sometime in the summer. If that info is right, who knows but I guess it makes sense since the TC2 is new.

Just to clarify, what do you mean by "rain guards"? Side window visors?

I think that is exactly what they are talking about... just hoping they are inchannel and not 3M sticky ones.

Scion's never offered it. For any vehicle.

If anything, the dealerships would be buying third party (like weathertech) and stocking them.

They list them on the Scion Canada website (Side Window Visors - $174 CDN) and I saw them on the tC at the Toronto Autoshow.

^^^ Thanks!

The side window visors we offer are the 3M adhesive type. The reason we decided to develop this type of visor is that we encountered issues in testing the in-channel type:
-ever tightening vehicle tolerances and thicker front windows wouldn't allow for a robust enough in-channel portion of the visor
-windows with the auto-up feature are also equipped with a pinch-protection system which interefered with the above point

The 3M adhesive tape we use is automotive grade, and if installed properly should not cause any issues.

This car really needs these... I ran off the interstate yesterday trying to wipe up the water running down to my speakers and power door switches.

@ Varun: That sounds right... Weathertechs or AVS which ever comes first.

@ Blackedout011TC: I deal with that all the time. Being a smoker and rainy days of late haven't been nice. I do keep a small towel, but I'd rather have the side visors.

@ KidJustin: Are they in-channel or 3M?

AVS should make a seamless one for this car. otherwise i might resort to DIY.
