So... Something I've been thinking about that I'd love on my car, but can't seem to find anywhere.

Rear window louvers. (included the British spelling in case anyone is using Search).

I know they are making them again, as I've seen them on some late model Mustangs. The '11+ tC has enough retro mini-pony-car lines that I think it could pull them off,
and it would keep the sun off the rear and provide privacy for the cargo area, without going even darker on the tint or getting one of those flimsy excuse for cargo covers that Scion sells.



NOTE: If you don't like them, fine. To each his own... Go find a thread where people are talking about cutting the springs and painting the hoods black.
As a kid in the 80s, any car that had louvers looked cool to me, even my Uncle's Citation! Let me dream!

I've googled until I'm googled-out. Can't find anything. Was hoping someone else had found something.

 

There is definitely none on the market for the tC. Unless you can find some kind of "Universal" louvers, which I doubt, they'd need to be custom made. :?

Dude, I have thought about this alot. Everytime I see the car from the rear almost, I think "louvers would look great." Finding someone to make them though would be alot of work. My comprimise is this

It helps break up that giant rear window. One can dream though.

i think if you bought like 4-5 of the visors you currently have and just stacked them on top of each other you can get a similar effect =P

I was about to mention the rear wiper but remembered they don't have those on the US model.

Go to dealer and see if that Toyota model will fit, could be same dimensions.

It's for the 2011-2013. I'll have to find out from them
if they will work for the 2015.

 

95% sure they will work with the 2014-2016's, they are exactly the same size and such..

Make sure before you order you look at the three different options I think there is smoke lens, black, and one other

Edit: supposedly they don't work on the 14+'s actually...
