damn I wanna get HIDs on my super white but scared to void warranty. also how did you guys red out the right tail light?

 

HIDs wont void your warranty.
By reding out your tail lights you can either use the tail light spray paint or the tint film.

 

According to Scion Canada it will no, but if an issue is found and the cause is the HiD's they will not pay to fix it. I could see this as a major hearsay issue. I have an extended Warranty and after several calls I have a feeling that they would say "You battery died, I see you have HiD's and they caused it. Or items of the sort.

 

Taking a few minutes to replace the stock lighting system before a trip to the dealer could reduce the chances of any blame being placed on the HIDs.

MmMm getting ideas for my car. Will look into possible purchases tonight or tomorrow (HIDs, vinyl tape to black out the front bumper a la stryderx88, red tint the tail lights, install 2nd rear light, shifter cable and base bushings)

I'm also considering putting on a black rear bumper applique, rather than the transparent one Scion offers. And once again, if anyone knows of a custom spoiler shop in Canada, let me know as I'd be interested in having a lip-type rear spoiler done.

All I need now is a DIY for the front 'Home Depot' lip ;)

 

btw, whats the closest vinyl tape i can get that looks like the one on the a-pillars?
I'm considering doing the front bumper the way Striderx88 did.

if i remove the front plate will there be drill holes? if so how did everyone who relocate it cover it up?

 

I didnt install the plate until I had the relocation mount... so I never had holes drilled...

 

Yes there will be drilled holes if you take off the front plate, saw it on one of the boys tC2 doesnt look pretty :?

Ordered the car and made the special request to leave the bracket off. Then, 2 months later, my relocation bracket arrived!
