What size vinyl should I get to wrap my hood?

Hey I'm looking to wrap my hood and just don't know what size to get... And does anyone have any tips on doing this? How much would it cost to be done at shop?

2 yards will be more than enough, its a 5'x6' sheet. Make sure you clean your hood and surrounding areas with a 50/50 alcohol solution. Have a hair dryer close by, and a helping set of hands. A credit card is also very helpful to get out bubbles. Start in the middle and work your way out one way at a time, use heat (but not too much) to allow the vinyl to stretch out around the corners. leave a 1" overlap that you can tuck underneath to hold the vinyl down.

Okay thanks. I've done my skirts but wasn't sure about the hood. Do you think it would be worth it to get 3m?

I'm thinking about wrapping mine too. There's a brand called Hexis and I hear they are pretty good too and cheaper than 3M. I'm going to put a carbon fibre wrap after the winter.
I'm getting too many stone chips so my apron is to wrap it lol. It's going to cost me 200-300to get it done by a detailing shop.

I got a wrap called catpiano, it was pretty good but I tied wrapping my hood to no avail, there were a lot of creases so I took it off. The error was on my part so I don't think I would be able to do it myself

Yeah, you need to take it to someone who knows how to do it and does it a lot lol. If not, you're going to mess up for sure.
