2015! Low coolant light and hard to start
Hey guys, I have a 2015 scion tc and my coolant light has come on a couple times now. This time it was after my car struggling to start. My coolant is full, gas is full, and oil is a tiny bit low. It took a few turns and pumping the gas to get it to start. After it started, a puff of white smoke was emitted and the low coolant light came on. I have 19,200 miles on it and have been really regular about getting my car serviced. Any clue what this could be?

Yep, you overheated it and blew your headgasket. This is bad, really bad. Take it in to the dealer. Won't cost you a thing.

Coolant level will diminish, either slowly or quickly. The reason you got white smoke is because of coolant in your combustion chamber, which is caused by a cracked head or blown head gasket. Maybe your water pump failed completely, but either way, you busted something pretty good. Take it in now before they tell you to get bent, because they can if you neglect it for too long.

Like I said, it could be a slow process of coolant loss, or it could be quick, but it'll diminish. White smoke means the the car is no longer operable in its current state. Also, the hard start, that's also a head gasket indication due to compression being WAY off. Trust me. I got you. Take it in. And since it's brand new, don't take any bullsh.t, don't pay for sh.t.

What color is the Coolant in the overflow?
