Bolt ons for my tC2
Hello, Im thinking about installing a few bolt ons for my car yet I dont know what could be the consequences about this. If any check engine lights would come on, if it could affect the cars performance for bad, the MPG and stuff.
Im thinking about getting a Weapon R Header, the Megan Drift Spec Catback Exhaust and a Takeda Intake. Yet I dont know what could I expect from this bolts. Bad or good? Is it hard to install? Can someone give me a preview of what I could get? Also any other things I could do to my car? I would like it to hit at least 200WHP? Im not that RACER but I like to have something with me just in case.
Thanks!

Weapon R header will function properly but you'll have to deal with a CEL. The Takeda Intake has a reputation of having problems for TC2's. Maybe including the UNICHIP can help you get to that 200WHP.
Not to poop on your parade, but with those mods you'll just end up with a slightly faster, obnoxiously loud and raspy car for ~$1000. Don't know if the TC2 can beat other "performance" or "tuner" cars in a race with those.
Keep researching the forums and shopping around - you'll find a wealth of information.

Also how does the UNICHIP work?

Intake, Header , Exhaust , Lite weight Pulley will def increase the fun. You wont be too far from 200WHP
The uni chip hooks up to your ECU and Tunes it to increase power. After adding mods the stock ECU changes the thinking, with the Chip you get it tuned to get as much from the add on's as passable

yes i'd imagine with a real good tune and that unichip (you can even tune it at a shop for even more money to squeeze the last bits of power out of it i bet) you could go very close to 200hp like they said.
you'd want the Dezod green header to avoid rasp and sound great (no CEL from what i read since it retains the cat), a cold air or short ram intake (there are tons of choices like takeda, Injen, H&R intakes are all good!). Then any catback exhaust of about 2.5" or maybe an axleback with less or equal. you dont really need 3" unless you turbo i think.
Yes dont forget about the lightweight pulley by NST. that can help.
All just my opinion but with a lot of money spent you can get close to your goal.
If i had money to throw around, I'd be curious to see how powerful a N/A tC setup can get. but I'd probably need to look for a long time for all sorts of engine modifications (ie. the performance intake manifold that descendant used to make, and other thing like maybe camshaft modification), AND I'd imagine I'd have to spend maybe 6,000 or more. no idea exactly what price for everything but maybe i'd break 200WHP then haha.
