Clutch problem
 

ok so i just got my manual tc2 after having my 2011 auto now my question is can you reduce the movement of the clutch i feel like i have to push the clutch wayyyy tooo far before i can shift.... i have really long legs so having to push the clutch that far then pull it back up all the way is really anoying so if anyone knows how to shorten this would be greatly appreciated

Nope, you'll get used to it. Just slide the seat forward some for more leverage. After a couple weeks and every other car's clutch pedal will feel like crap.

i cant slide forward im 6'6 so im way too tall for that and when ive got the clutch fully depressed my leg is almost straight and when i have to put my knee in my chest to slowly accelerate when driving around the city that i live in

One other member that is a giganto like you modified his seat bracket for more room. I don't know of anything you can do to shorten clutch throw. No short shift for the clutch pedal. You might want to trade that one in for another automatic. Sorry, maybe someone else can be more help.

it was the same problem with the 1 gen tc,you had to push the clutch in to far....so what people did is that they extended the pedal stop with some rubber foots and added something to the pedal itself,so this way you dont have to push the clutch in as far,i know i did it with my 1st gen,cause to much slack in it,now all i have to do if do half way,and im like little over 6 foot also...theres a whole thread someplace here about that,see if i can find it,for some people,moving the seat up solved it and for others it didnt,

really? I always push the clutch in all the way to the floor with every shift. it is part of the timing of clutching in, moving the shifter and releasing the clutch. doesn't matter how far the clutch has to travel, because with the timing, it takes less than a second to shift.

me to and im painting all my interior pieces if its warm enough for the paint (one thing that sucks about not having a garage) hopefully a diy will come from it haha and ill probably redo this diy so people can see it on a tC2 and knw it works

Do you have a storage shed? Thats what I used as a paint booth so the wind wouldn't ruin my paint job. I just covered all my junk that was in there with a plastic tarp from wallyworld for $5.

If not, you could rent a small storage shed for a month for like $15...lol. Thats pretty low rent on your very own paint booth when you think about it.
