Hey Everyone... We just wanted to make an official post about our new 2011 Scion tC Cold Air Intake systems. They've been available here on SL for a few weeks now thru our authorized dealers and we started to get some great reviews. If you have any questions about the system please feel free to contact us.
Here is the Polished system installed:

Here is the complete system in Polished and a sample picture of our Black Wrinkle Finish

Complete Polished System^^^

Picture of Descendant Turbo tC1 Intake, Not actual tC2 system but a sample picture of our Black Wrinkle Finish Intake
Dyno comparison of the Descendant CAI vs. OEM stock shows 5WHP increase!!!

Dyno comparison performed at SR MotorCars in Gardena, CA

There are engineers on here that can give you the more technical answer but that's my understanding.
^ Yes but it's expensive ($800+ I believe) and unless you've done a lot to your engine, you won't get much of a difference. Unless you add a turbo or a full NA engine upgrade, I wouldn't worry about it.
Why get ~3%-4% performance increase at 5500 RPMS especially at the cost of losing the HP that we actually use around 1k and 2k? I am never over 4200rpms regardless of what i am doing.
Is the practical reason for an intake just for racing???
My friend just said that the scions have a pretty good intake already and therefore we are at the edge of the diminishing marginal returns
Also, shouldn't the Horse Power and the Torque equal to each other at 5252 RPMS on the dyno chart?
