//Dezod// Green CATTED tC2 header (+9whp & 7ft/lbs gains)
I like that you guys support n/a tcs and hope to see more from you because I am definitely interested.
i saw on your dezod website there is the headers green and red..same price so i dont get the difference due to practically no description on almost every item i came across..and if anyone else reads this what exactly is the difference between the actual stock headers vs aftermarket, just dont know much of what would be the changing factors i guess
If you read the descriptions, you will see the difference. the red header is an off road cat-less variant of the green header. the green header has a high flow cat built in and is guaranteed to not throw CEL.
both have 4-1 collectors, same as stock. don't know all the technical details, but they are better optimized and produce more power. i was among the very first people to own the green header for the tC2 last year, but that's just me reading the descriptions.

yea i messages biglilsteve saying i think it was just me having a lack of knowledge on the subject..as in what a catless and cat header literally are, and the actually difference from a stock header and aftermarket one..just been trying to figure it out
If you are curious what a Catalytic Converter is:

The Terms "Cat Header"/"Catted Header" and "Catless Header" refer to a header having the Catalytic Converter installed. The Catalytic Converter can be removed entirely but this would negate the emissions controls and be illegal in some areas.

makes much more sence thanks man..again im new to wanting to customize the hell out of my car
can you or someone tell me in what ways the aftermarket headers produce the extra hp? like w an intake i know how cuz of p[placement, pipe design, and filter..but headers to me are just pipes of hot ___ steal idk the difference

1) The Dezod version uses a more efficient Catalytic Converter (Also known as a High-Flow Cat) which is a much smaller size then the OEM model. These High Flow types of Cats are designed with performance in mind.
2) The OEM Tubing becomes slightly constrictive in its bends, leading me to believe they were bent using a different method then the Dezod type.
3) The OEM Tubing has a lot sharper turns, these sudden turns cause high turbulence and Eddy Currents to develop in any flow type situation. The Dezod tybe uses wider tubing curves to compensate for this.
4) Each section of OEM tubing does not use the same tube length between the Manifold to the 4 to 1 collector. The Dezod type matches lengths as closely as possible, this design also reduces turbulence created at the collector section.
5) Uncertain of this one: I believe the Dezod header uses a slightly wider diameter of tubing versus the OEM style as well.
yea but damn nobody ever gives a damn to give the right answer I asked a dozen different times in different threads..all I got was it has a cat apposed to not having a cat..thanks lol but yea once I rob a bank itl b the first thing I buy
