Header or Mid-Pipe first ?
I have the tC RS 8.0 which has the 5 axis exhaust (Axle back), I'm wondering which item to install first , Header , or mid-pipe ? I'm leaning towards the header first, not necessarily for the HP gain, which I know is minimal, but more for the aesthetic gain more so. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, header first. I have the Dezod header and TRD exhaust. Header is the best investment you can make in your exhaust setup, period.

i believe megan racing sells the mid-pipe for the tc2 that's compatible with the oem exhaust. also, i don't know of any company that makes a down pipe for the tc2, hoping invidia makes one like they did for the tc1.
regardless...header first. dyno proven for over 8hp and 6tq with stock exhaust. gains are seen throughout the entire rev band too...not just the peak like other intake/exhaust mods.
I agree, the stock mid pipe is perfect for header, intake and axle back. I don't see a need to replace it, it is a quality piece, maybe just remove the second cat and while you're at it, remove the resonator and replace it with a high flow res.
I believe it is for under 80 bucks (100 with my new tip) I have a free flowing (at least down pipe back) exhaust that sounds better than the 500 dollar axle backs on the market. (yes I am still rocking the stock muffler in the back, looks stock, feels and sounds upgraded (at least whatever an exhaust would have done))
well i went with a no brand generic 10 inch resonator, which cost maybe 35 bucks and virtually every muffler shop has, and some pipe to fill the gap left. you could buy a name brand res, but i think it is a waste of money.., yes it cost me 80 dollars, res plus work, but that will probably be different depending on where you go. maybe + or - 5-10 bucks..

here's a video of a tc2 with SRI and the tsudo exhaust as a reference.. first, i would like to say that this exhaust looks better than mine, in my opinion, but mine sounds just as good, if not better!, than the tsudo. considering that the tsudo cost 400, or so, and mine cost 100 with everything, including the tip, i feel that i got the best bang for the buck..

now, i could go out and buy just the axle back for my tc and BAM, i got a great sounding exhaust thats free flowing for the price of just the axle back, but with the benefits of a cat back exhaust. now, i am limited to axle back that use the OEM configuration of the mid pipe, but honestly, i feel that the other exhaust look unnatural on the tc2, with the exception of the descendant and ARK, but those are like 1000 bucks. i'm looking at either the Greddy EVO 3 axle back, or the HKS or megan axle back. i don't know which style i like more.. adding the new axle back is strictly cosmetic at this point since the stock muffler is very free flowing and gives a great sound and the only way i would replace it is if i get one used at a great price..
