Injen SeS Axleback
Hey guys, just a quick question.
I recently purchased a 2012 tC rs7.0, and ive been looking to get a exhaust for it.
A local seller offered a brand new Injen SES Axle back exhaust system for $200..
He sent me this link, he said its brand new never been used.
http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Des...l&ModelDesc=tC
Initial asking price was $300.
I am not very familiar with this subject so wondering if you guys think this is a good purchase for the price?
Also in general is this a good exhaust? I am indeed looking for something loud and deep.
Should i get this meaning will it do the job for me or should I save up and get a Tsudo s2 catback?
Thanks...

There is only ONE thing to consider when buying an exhaust system, and that is SOUND. Youtube or ask around for sound clips of exhaust systems on a 2012. Get the one that sounds the best to you. You get no power out of it. It will only feel like you have gained a few horsepower at 4000RPM because of the sound. Now, you if you plan to turbo and things like that, take into consideration the diameter, but you will still end up with a customer system anyways that fits for that turbo (more than likely). The other thing you can take into consideration is the quality of the metal, but that is about it. Get a good sounding exhaust system because you are going to be listening to it all day everyday and so are the people around you. That is all I have to say.
^^ x2
Unless you're building a car SPECIFICALLY for the track with a turbo, etc, you will not get any extra HP out of an exhaust. At most 1 or 2, but that's like the equivelant of taking a backpack out of your car and then saying it got faster because of the weight. Only focus on the sound.
Axleback exhaust's are going to sound slightly better than stock, but IMO are a waste of money. They will make it look slightly better than stock because of the Stainless and Larger tip. If you really want to put an exhaust system on your car, save up for a catback exhaust such as Decendant or Tsudo. Removing the stock resonator and replacing it with an aftermarket midpipe is the only way to get a good sound out of our cars.
One more thing you should consider. If you have a manual, then by all means, and I beg you, get a catback exhaust. If you have an automatic, then you need to consider the fact the catback exhausts will slightly drone in the cab. This means when you are at low RPM's, you will be able to hear a little hum in the car. This bothers some people who prefer a scilent ride, or don't want to be noticed too badly by others.
My advice, Get a cat-back exhaust. It's worth the extra money.

Im really only going for the sound not performance.
So you guys wouldnt recommend it? Injen only makes axlebacks for 2011. if i dont go with this my only other option would be tsudo which costs twice as much.
ill see if he lets me bolt it on so i can hear it.
