No no no. You shouldn't have done it then, and you certainly can't do it now. Go spend the $40 at AutoZone and get a new one. A rule of thumb for you for the future: If you take two things apart, replace the gasket. And yeah, you can do it.

Oh god yeah. Like I said, it happens all too easy with these and everyone has the issue. I instantly lost power and even made a thread on here about it when it happened. It's such a joke. 2nd gear felt like a dog and my rev limit hit quicker too, instead of ~59mph, it dropped way down to like ~53ish. It was pretty bad. Very upset with the lack of quality in the design... not cool.

They'll probably just charge you for a new valve cover gasket honestly. It will take them no time.

How about you tell them what's wrong with the car.

Either way, you don't need them. Take the valve cover off and flip the rockers back.

I told them what was wrong with the car they even drove it out behind the lot and could tell it wasn't running right they wanted to blame my modified exhaust. And better to do it myself 1.) Learn something2.) My warranty won't cover anything because I modified my car aka lowered it .

Haha. You just so happen to get a sh.t dealership. It happens. I have noticed that Toyotas are uptight. But your entire warranty isn't void because of one modification. If you're lowered, but your A/C goes out, then your A/C is covered because it's not in direct reflection of any modification that you made. If you are lowered but your wheel bearings go out, then yeah, they can turn you away because that is a direct cause of you being lowered.

That's what I thoughy. I figured they would have to b able to prove that my modification is what caused the problem.

It won't. They probably won't know about this issue. I mean, have them take off valve cover and tell them you overreved and flipped some lifters. They should know what to look for at that point.
