The Tsudo drones terribly at certain RPMs and it got old after awhile. The TRD is super clean and sounds sooooo refined. It has a nice growl and is definitely worth it especially if you can get a good deal on one. I lucked up and got mine slightly used for $350 shipped so I jumped all over it. You will love it.
you dont even know how many times i watched your video with the tsudo and the trd one on youtube haha. but yea im leaning towards trd! hopefully successful for the buy off some guy.

Yessirrrr. Don't get me wrong the Tsudo wasn't bad. It had good fitment and a nice deep tone from the outside. Just was a pain as a daily driver. And the thought of using the silencer just seemed dumb to me. It definitely made my car's bottom-end a little mushy too. When I installed my stock exhaust again I couldn't believe how much low-end power I got back.

I'm still partial to my Megan hated the TRD on my car it was practically silent I can't justify putting an exhaust I can't hear on my car lol plus I felt like I had more power out of the Megan but again just my opinion

i find that kind of hard to believe. Now i haven't cut open a TRD or any muffler to see how it is on the inside but the TRD has to be 50 state compliant. we all know California is pretty strict with emissions, so i doubt they could squeeze out much (if any) power through an axle back while still complying to all the laws/regs.

I'm not saying I got additional power from this Axel back. I'm sure I got NO power. I'm just saying I got back low end power that I lost when I had my tsudo on.

Sorry for jumping in at last minute, but I was debating the same thing, whether to get trd or tsudo... Steve, you said you lost low end power, and felt no gains?? That's a complete let down, I was really interested in the Tsudo exhaust. Thought it sounded better then most the competition, but don't want something too loud w/out the silencer... So, what exhaust do you think gave you the most gain??

I agree the Tsudo isn't a bad sounding/looking exhaust especially for the money. It feels like it has a good quality build and has great fitment. Just ended up being too loud for daily driving purposes.

As far as performance goes for that exhaust, you take a hit in the low end but you DO get a little extra pull higher up in the rev band (4k rpm and higher). I just got tired of having to go all the way up there to get the power.

So I went back with the stock mid-exhaust and the Dezod header and TRD Axel. Awesomeeeeeee sound that isnt too obnoxious and dyno-proven results (8+ HP and no loss from bottom-end) from the Dezod.
