Want to add 30 hp
Hello, I just bought a 2014 scion tc. Love the car, except that the car is an automatic . I really want to bump up the performance of the car by at least 30 hp. I'm aiming for 30 hp because I don't want to add a turbo. I'm trying to stay with in 2000 dollars, and I don't plan to mod for about a year; because, I don't know yet what parts I will be able to use on a 2014 tc automatic. I also want to avoid voiding my warranty since i got the dealer to give me a seven year bumper to bumper warranty for free and a free life time warranty.
Under these conditions is it possible to get to 210 whp
The parts I'm looking at getting are Dezod header, a cat back exhaust possibly from dezod, unichip, and a CAI
Also will I need to use premium gas with these parts? Is there anything else I need to know.
This is my first car, I really don't want to destroy it. Kind of regret not getting the FR-S, but I will be getting married soon so I needed something practical and fun.

Best thing would be light weight wheels and crank pulley. It's a night and day difference when you shed 10lbs off each wheel/tire combo. The stock wheels are very heavy, 27+ lbs each.

Why do people generalize an answer without hard evidence on here? It's almost always the same answer. "Just turbo it." Or "You'll see 5whp tops! It's a Camry motor!" I like that there was one person here with over 180whp on his dyno pull. Who here really truely knows what the N/A limits are of these cars? Simple bolt ons may be better than what everyone was told. Everyone has been discouraged about modding this car N/A for about three and a half years now. Is there anyone with some dyno numbers? Anyone with full bolt ons and maybe unichip and i-throttle??

is it worth spending $500-600 on a "brand new axelback" to get 9hp gain? nope
but is it worth spending $200-$250 on a used axelback to get that 9hp gain? yup
I just purchased a tsudo cat-back for $180 (retail 400)
looking to purchase a used sri/cai intake for $100 (retail 300)
as well as a used header for $200 (retail 500)
total would only cost me no more than $480 for a 25hp gain. instead of $1200.
not so bad. I proactively looking for facebook group sales, craigslist, 2 different forums for the best deal. give or take tc2 has only 10% of the market, but once you purchase something that's at least 50% off from brand new, it's worth it. most of them are METAL parts so buying used wouldn't be so different than new.
don't give me anything about "being rusty".... tc2 hasn't been around too long for any used parts to be rusted.
