Mishimoto Radiator and Racing thermostat

Hey there tc2 moderator anybody here know if the scion xb mishimoto radiator fit the 2013 scion tc. I saw a rs7 list his as one of his mod on mishimoto website. Will it fit perfect or it need modification..any input will help. Also I see a 2012 tc on the site too using a scion XD mishimoto racing thermostat. Will that thermostat fit the tc2.

Call Mishimoto, no?

Yes, will fit. The hoses need slight modification if you're going with stock hoses. If you buy the mishi xB hoses, you'll have to cut into them to get it work. I have the radiator but haven't installed it yet. Theres a few guys on here that have it, like ASHTC2 (i wish these forums had a tag feature). As far as the thermostat. The tc1 mishi thermostat fits as well. May need to tune for it if you're boosted though.

Scionchichop what year xb radiator u have??

scionchicop 12-13-2013 01:32 PM

Its the 2008+ one listed on mishi's site. I won't be installing it until it gets a little warmer up here. I will make a DIY if still needed when i do install it though. As far as that RS7 that said he has it...he never actually installed his. I bought mine off of him brand new in box. I know ASHTC2 did install it. The info i gave is what he told me about it.

Here's a link to the topic and pics by ASHTC2 of his.

Thnx Now that I know for sure it works I will diffinetly do this mod real soon. This should be a easy mod for us boosted guys. I have a temp gauge and I notice temp been reaching high close to 300 on the gauge on summer days. Right now its about 130 140 because it 20 degree outside

scionchicop 12-15-2013 01:09 PM

Any pics of the temp gauge (curious what you tapped into to install it)? What should temps be at regularly?

300 degrees Fahrenheit? If so, that is way too high, and it being 20 degrees outside and running 130-140F is also not good. Stock mine sits at 180F.

It goes down 140 160 when driving. During idle its about 180

Scionchichop here is a picture. This one 32mm its a lil to small for hose. It has a slow leak. I just ordered a new one 36mm this should be a tight fit. Temp reach about 220f hot summer days. Convert it to Celsius its about 104 degree. So winter time it 140-160f while driving. During idle 180f which is around 80 degree celsius so it seem right.

Thanks brother. Exactly what i was looking for. Seems easy enough.

Are you still on the stock thermostat? You should be staying around 170-180 the whole time, on idle it can creep up to 204F but fans kick on.
