Lightbulb Aftermarket Kenwood Sounds like Mud

I had the stock 2011 Pioneer head unit but I wanted a touchscreen, backup camera, Bluetooth, and HD Radio. I got the Kenwood DMX7704s and installed it. I know it's a good head unit but it sounds so flat and muddy. I guess the factory amp and speakers were made specifically for that head unit. I'm wondering how to start cleaning up that sound. Should I just try to find a set of 3-way component speakers with the crossover or will it still sound muddy with the factory amp? Should I just replace the amp? I'm not sure where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Do you know what the RMS wattage per channel is for that HU? The stock speakers don't take much but they're weird.. the mid and tweeter front door speakers and rear speakers are 4 ohm.. the door 6x9 is 2 ohm that are powered by a tiny amp under the driver seat, so i can see that sounding awful with an aftermarket deck. I installed a 4 channel amp and rewired the car bypassing all of the stock wiring so I could properly run 3-ways with a crossover and beefed up rear speakers (Focal 165's front and rear) and it sounds fantastic. Also added a jl stealthbox with a separate mono amp, but that's a different convo lol.

Cheaper than replacing the whole audio setup, you could probably bypass the factory amp under the seat for those 6x9's and power them directly off the deck if it has a channel for it.

Thank you for your advice. I'm not sure what the RMS wattage is as my google fu is failing me. I'm thinking about rewiring the amp to bypass it but I can't find any diagrams for it. I'll keep looking.

Here's a pic of the pathetic factory amp from when I was doing my install, it's under the drivers seat:

Ha! I found mine as well . Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a good harness to be found. And there are a confusing number of wires. It would be nice if it was easy to tell what goes to which speaker .
