And yeah, what's up with killing the gauge lights? Although, I do know you can't have too much interior lighting as it is too distracting and "blinding". So if people are really illuminated, then I guess I could see that.

i swapped my HU to a single DIN and im installing a single DIN gauge pod in the extra space. I'll post pics later

no word from any vendors on a a-pillar gauge pod

Make a lower A-Pillar single pod for the MKV GTI wrapped with similar matching material as the pillar has and I'll buy it for $200. Everywhere else that wants to custom make me one wants to charge $600 because they said it will take 6 hours. Which is probably true, but I'm not paying that. So I'll give you $200 for a true fitting fiberglass wrapped in material A-Pillar single lower pod.
