Location of lock/unlock piezo?
I'm trying to locate the piezo for the lock/unlock chirps in my new 2012 Cement TC. I've only had the car for a week, but I cannot hang with the extremely loud unlock chirps. I've searched a lot and found that you can either muffle/remove the piezo or ask the dealer to disable it. Does anyone have any info on the location of the piezo? I know it's near the fuse box, but for the life of me I cannot pinpoint it.
Thanks! |
I'm pretty sure there is a way to disable the confirmation beeps and have it flash only. Check the manual, I believe I saw it in there.

Dealer can probably shut it off through software. I'd take the 15 minutes with them before jamming stuff into places.

Ill look at the manual next time I'm in my car...but I meant that there is a way to disable it properly without jamming things into places lol.

The manual says to take it to the dealer and let them do it with their computers. Who knows, maybe you might want it back on one day!
But I did a quick search on where it's located in other Toyota cars and one thing is consistent... It's tiny and wrapped in foam. |
