Default Amp crossover with 10" sub and stock 6x9s

Just picked up an amp with an adjustable crossover. I'm using it with a single 10" to boost the lower frequencies the 6x9s can't reproduce, so I'd like to set the crossover at the low end of their response range.

Has anyone played with tuning their crossover on the tc2? I'm probably going to start at 80hz and keep going lower until the interference is gone, but I'd like to find out what other SL folks are set to.

Mine came with the Alpine head unit but I am willing to bet the new Pioneers are set up the same way for the sub rca jacks. They are already set to 80hz on the Alpine I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

If anyone is interested, I found that about 70 hz is a good point. I didn't realize how much bass those stock 6x9s were capable of until tuning the amp, but they lose juice past 80 hz.

I believe the audio manual says the stock deck has a lower frequency limit of 80hz. Which would make sense, playing with my car today it seemed like the stock speakers loose bass when you turn on the sub in the menu.
I don't have a sub in my car, yet.

Yep, you don't need much either. My R.F. 12" sub and 300 watt amp combo sounds great and has to be turned down to prevent drowning out the rest of the system. It's not comp quality but it is on par with the rest of the system. The Alpine suffers from a severe lack of eq adjustments. I have learned to live with it for now.
