Default Racing Seats?

Does anyone have non stock seats. like a bucket seat for the tC? Im really interested in putting some in mine as im not a huge fan of the cloth inserts in the OEM seats.

We put Sparco Milanos and Torinos in customer's cars before (on the Tc1).

If you're in it for merely looks, that might be the better option.

Sparco seats are for those whom need or want the added performance value from weight savings, design to implement a harness, need more bolstering when cornering etc....It's not for everyone.

OP

look up recaro / bride / Corbeau / status / ... there should be plenty seats for the choosing between all those.

there is also a thread for the tc1 that showcases MANY users with aftermarket seats. IMO its the best upgrade inside the car you can do. there is nothing like a good seat to support you while driving. my personal choice is recaro. you'll never go back to a stock seat again after riding in a quality seat

Agreed!

Corbeau is good. Bride and Recaro as well. Cobra is another decent one.

How much does it cost to get decent racing seats? I just cant justify paying $750 for them Also, are there rear seats to match? I just dont want to pay that much money and have my front bucket seats not match my bench seat in the back

750 is average and the way you get the rears to match are by reupholstering them.

judging by your reply racing seats are not for you.

OP

if there aren't any seat brackets out yet you can always have them fab'd up. its easy. if not you CAN mix and match certain brackets with other seats. your not stuck by getting lets say "SEAT A" and needing "BRACKET A" .... you can pick up "BRACKET B" and save money that way. im sure by now there are brackets available for the tc2. if your going to mix and match just make sure you have measurements for the threaded hole positions in terms of front and back and left and right for the racing seat. not all seats use the same measurements so you will need to do a little homework in order to save money. take those measurements and see if they will work with w/e brackets and slides you buy(this will save u a few hundred bucks sometimes).... its very basic stuff, nothing complex, just gotta do your homework.

for examples im using an old recaro srd seat with corbeau brackets and sliders with spacers inbetween the sliders and seats. i could have used sparco sliders and wedge eng. brackets or someone elses but it was the cheapest, yet simplest way to achieve the same result. recaro sliders would have cost me an arm and a leg for the tc FTL.

You can get a full corbeau setup pretty cheap, and they are decent seats to boot.
