Remote cable/ Amp Turn On Need advice
I'm going to be installing my subs today to the stock Pioneer head unit.
I want to get everyones opinion about how you are connecting the rem/amp turn on cable to the stock harness that goes into the head unit.

Quite a few amps have the ability to automatically turn on and off based on input from the RCA inputs. You may want to start there.
there are a couple ways to do that, if you have a knock-out available, you can use any 2 position toggle switch and turn your amps on/off that way. or you can splice your remote wire into the red wire on the harness (i think its red, i havent removed the radio in the new tc yet) you can test it by checking for voltage with the car off, then check it again after you start it, if you get your ~12VDC after its running, then splice into it. EDIT: i installed my amps and subs and used a splicing clip into the red wire on the back of the radio harness. works perfect.
