Default tC2 dead Hatch Strut - where do i find replacements?

One of the struts on my tC2 hatch has failed (fluid dripping out and no pressure).

I am sure the second one will follow soon, in any case they are no longer holding the hatch up all the time.

The hatch has a "factory" spoiler, which i suspect is heavy and perhaps was added to the car without replacing the struts to stronger ones (second owner), but it might have just died regardless.

Could not find any correct replacement on Ebay or Autozone.

Can someone provide the correct part number (or a link to where to order) for a set of new struts?

Thanks!

FIRST Check your mileage and warranty status. On my tC1 (3 years ago) dealer replaced it under warranty.
However, replacements really are not that expensive.

You said tC2, but what year is your tC? I have a set of pretty much new OEM struts taken off a new 2005 at the dealer. These may fit, check the numbers on yours and compare. These are:
L is 68960-OW252
R is 68950-OW262

If you can use them, will do $45 shipped.

Umm.....Your local parts house usually keeps aftermarket options in stock. Just take the car to them and ask them to match it up. Usually around $20.
